Automate Customer Statements and Generate a Statement of Accounts

Late payments can slow down your business and make it difficult to manage cash flow. One of the easiest ways to encourage customers to pay on time is by sending regular customer statements, also known as statements of account.

Brisk Accounts makes it simple to create invoices, track payments and generate customer statements that show outstanding balances and recent account activity - all from one place.

What is a Customer Statement?

A customer statement, or statement of account, is a summary of a customer's account over a selected period. It typically includes:

  • Outstanding invoices
  • Payments received
  • Credit notes
  • Current account balance

Sending customer statements helps customers understand what they owe and reminds them about unpaid invoices before they become overdue.

Why automate customer statements?

Regular customer statements can help you:

  • Get paid faster.
  • Reduce overdue invoices.
  • Improve cash flow.
  • Keep customers informed about their account balances.
  • Spend less time following up on unpaid invoices.

For many small businesses, customer statements are one of the simplest ways to improve accounts receivable without changing the invoicing process.

  • Record the payment.

Keeping payments up to date ensures customer statements always show accurate balances.

4. Generate a customer statement

Open Accounts > Customers List.

Locate your customer and click the Action menu.

From there you can:

  • View the customer statement as a PDF.
